All Aboard!

My son is almost 2 years old. He will be two in May. A few months ago my wife’s cousin bought him a battery-powered train set. It’s called PlaRail by Takaratomy. She brought it over and my son has been playing with it a lot. Actually, I have been playing with it more than my son. The original set included one bullet train and a few pieces of track in order to make a small loop. Well since playing on the small track for a few months and getting a little bored, I went back to the store and bought many additional pieces of track, a bridge and another train(a commuter train). In total, I spent about $100 on PlaRail related stuff.
This train set is very fun and addictive. There are a million different train lines that you can set up. Loops, turns, roundabouts, two tiers, under the bridge, etc. The only limit is your imagination. My imagination is limited so I haven’t set up anything to elaborate yet. Actually, when I get done making an awesome train line which incorporates both trains my son comes along and trashes it like Godzilla in Tokyo. Anyway, this toy is a good prefrontal cortex workout and I highly recommend purchasing it for yourself your child. However, I am wondering if this particular product is available in North America. I searched the Internet and I couldn’t find any information about PlaRail product availability in North America. I know people have this toy over there as I have seen it on one of my son’s Baby Einstein videos. I am moving back to Oakville soon and I am wondering if I should stock pile more parts. Hopefully, some toy outfit carries this product.
